"We didn't build software to run businesses. We built software because we had to run one."

English version

The real story

FoodPoint OS was not born in a boardroom. It was born from the pain of operations.

For more than four years, Javier González worked as a General Manager across different commercial establishments in the United States, living the reality of running a food and service business from the inside.

And it was precisely from that operation that he began to notice something that, over time, would become an obsession:

Restaurants did not have one big problem. They had dozens of small problems that, together, became one enormous problem.

Orders coming in from multiple channels. Third-party apps. Commissions. Payment systems. Hard-to-control inventory. Employee management. Suppliers. Goods. Warehouses. Accounting. Taxes. Customers. Production. Delivery. Reports. Scattered data.

And, above all, too many platforms trying to solve each problem separately.

In some of the establishments Javier managed, five or six different applications were needed just to keep the operation running. Even in the best-organized businesses, several independent tools were still required.

And then came the question that would change everything:

Why does a business need five, six, or ten different systems to run a single operation?

The problem was not a lack of technology. It was a lack of integration.

From operations to technology

Javier already had experience in advanced software development. But instead of building technology from a purely theoretical perspective, he decided to do something different: take everything he was learning inside real operations and turn it into technology.

For years, while managing establishments, Javier began documenting the problems he encountered day after day. He took notes. He analyzed processes. He identified errors. He studied where time and money were lost. He observed which tasks could be automated. And, above all, he began to identify what needed to be connected.

The idea began to take shape: build a system capable of centralizing the complete operation of a business. From the production line to the final consumer. From inventory to the supplier. From a sale to the automatic stock update. From an order to the kitchen. From operations to financial data.

And so FoodPoint OS began to be built.

He did not build it alone

Although Javier González is the founder of FoodPoint OS, the technology behind the project is not the result of one person's work. Behind the vision there is currently a multidisciplinary team of more than 16 people, working across engineering, product, technology, operations, and development.

The project is backed by A&J Elite Supply LLC, a company with a technological and business focus, and by the business ecosystem built around FoodPoint LLC.

Javier brings something fundamental to the process: the experience of having lived the problem from the inside. The team turns that experience into technology.

The sentence that sums it up

"We didn't build software to run businesses. We built software because we had to run one."
